Eligibility Criteria

Enrolment requirements
All scholarships are awarded on the basis that you will maintain an enrolled status in your course of study in UCC. Your scholarship may be terminated and you will be required to repay the funds if your enrolment status becomes inactive.
Grounds for scholarship termination
Where the awarding of the scholarship is based on continuous high academic standards, the scholarship may be withdrawn if the recipient fails to maintain satisfactory academic progress.
Scholarships are not transferable by the recipient/applicant.
Scholarships may only be deferred under exceptional circumstances and such requests will be dealt with on a case-by-case basis.
Holding multiple scholarships
You may be permitted to hold the title of more than one scholarship. Students who are offered more than one Scholarship for the same achievement will accept subsequent scholarships on the basis that the bursary award from the highest value scholarship only will apply.
Donor scholarships
If you receive a donor-funded scholarship (e.g. the Naughton Scholarship), you are required to inform the University Scholarship Committee.

NITDA has partnered with Coursera to offer learning scholarships that will enable Nigerian citizens to obtain professional certifications from some of the world's leading multinational tech companies (e.g. Meta, Google, IBM) and top ranked US universities. Applicants are to select one certification program each from Category A and Category B that they wish to be enrolled in.
Category A (IT Career Pathway) offers a total of 20 professional certification programs to help you kickstart a successful IT career. Each program comprises a series of related courses focused on providing deep knowledge and hands-on skills required for employment. When you complete each individual course within the program, you'll earn a certificate of completion. However, the professional certification will be earned when you have completed all the required courses in the program.
