Following the resounding success of its 10th edition, the World Bank Group Youth Summit returns for its 11th installment, centered on the theme of Digital Transformation. Scheduled for May 30th – 31st, 2024, this global event will unite thousands of participants from across the globe, both in different regions and at the World Bank Group headquarters in Washington DC.

The Summit’s Mission: The World Bank Group Youth Summit is the largest annual gathering of youth (aged 18-35), aiming to empower young minds to explore innovative ideas, provide tools for impactful projects, and foster dialogue between youth and key stakeholders worldwide.

Theme and Subthemes: Under the overarching theme of “Powering Progress: Youth Leading the Digital Transformation,” the Summit will spotlight youth leveraging technology to address development challenges. Introducing the Gender Equity/GBV Evidence Accelerator Fellowship

Are you passionate about gender equity and addressing gender-based violence (GBV) in low- and middle-income settings? The Gender Equity/GBV Evidence Accelerator Fellowship, offered by the Center for Global Women’s Health and Gender Equity (CGWHE) at Johns Hopkins University, might be the perfect opportunity for you!

What is the Fellowship? This year-long program provides sponsored mentorship and select coursework to practitioners, professionals, and scholars engaged in gender equity work, with a focus on GBV. Fellows will enhance their skills in evidence generation, synthesis, and translation for gender equity and GBV. Through a part-time commitment, fellows will complete select coursework from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and receive ongoing mentorship from CGWHE faculty. The fellowship includes virtual activities and 1-2 in-person cohort gatherings for networking and professional development.

Ideal Candidates: Ideal candidates include professionals working in gender equity and/or GBV, such as program evaluators, community researchers, practitioners, and PhD students outside the US. Applicants should have some experience in this area and a desire to enhance their skills in evidence-based research, programs, and policy to accelerate the impact of their work.

Scholarship Opportunity! USDA National Scholars Program: Empowering Rural and Underserved Communities in Education

Are you a student from a rural or underserved community looking to pursue a career in agriculture, food, or natural resource sciences? The USDA 1890 National Scholars Program might be the opportunity you’ve been waiting for! Selected scholars will receive comprehensive support, including full tuition coverage, fees, books, room and board expenses. British Council Women in STEM Scholarships

Are you a woman with a bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject and passionate about your study? You could receive a scholarship to study for a master's degree in a science, technology, engineering or mathematics programme at a leading UK university.

We are looking for women who:

• can take up a course of study in the UK for the academic year from September/October 2024–2025.
• can demonstrate a need for financial support.
• have an undergraduate degree that will enable them to gain access onto one of the pre-selected postgraduate courses at a UK university (for master’s level).
• can attain the level of English required for postgraduate study at a UK university.
• are active in the field with work experience or a proven interest in their subject area.
• are passionate about their course of study and are willing to engage as committed British Council scholarship alumni.

• Hold dual British citizenship.
• Are an employee, a former employee, or relative (*) of an employee of His Majesty’s Government (including British Embassies/High Commissions; the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy; Department for International Trade; the Ministry of Defence; and the Home Office).
• Are an employee, a former employee, or relative (*) of an employee of the British Council Scholarships for Women in STEM – eligible countries.
