The Girls Advisory Council is a group of girls who regularly work (virtually) to ensure girls’ voices are included in She’s the First’s programming. Girls Advisory Council members will work with STF staff, board, and students from around the world to contribute valuable insight into STF programs as well as to find innovative ways to broaden STF’s impact and reach.
To apply you must: – Identify as a girl, inclusive of all individuals who identify with the experiences of girls, including gender
nonconforming, genderfluid, and transfeminine experiences, between ages 14-22.
– Speak, read, and write English comfortably.
– Have previous involvement with/or interest in She’s the First, girls’ rights, or social justice issues.
Council members commit to:
– 1-3 hours each month from December 2023- December 2024, including virtual orientation in January 2024.
– Participating in monthly Council meetings and virtual She’s the First events.
– Sharing important initiatives with their online community as an STF ambassador. – Providing input and suggestions to prompts in the WhatsApp group on an ongoing basis. Council member perks: – Feature on the She’s the First website and social media – Influence and shape She’s the First programming and policy – Leadership training, learning opportunities, mentorship, and more! – Receive a certificate of completion
