DO Grassroot Forum and Citizen Empowerment Foundation, in collaboration with Taraba State University (TSU), are excited to announce a transformative partnership aimed at empowering students to become agents of change and drive sustainable development in their communities.

This Partnership Agreement establishes a framework for cooperation between the parties to leverage the DO model for action and engage Taraba State University students as Grassroots Development Champions (GDCs). The goal is to mobilize at least 1,000 students annually to execute community projects and take action towards addressing social issues in Nigeria.

We are thrilled to partner with Taraba State University to empower students to make a tangible impact in their communities. Through this partnership, we aim to cultivate a culture of community engagement and social responsibility among students, while driving progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The key components of the partnership include:

  1. Onboarding Taraba State University students as GDCs and providing them with guidance, tools, and resources to execute community projects.
  2. Implementing an annual community impact cycle where students will have the opportunity to execute projects aligned with their interests and address pressing social issues.
  3. Recognizing and rewarding students who successfully complete projects with points, certificates, and other incentives.
  4. Integrating community project execution into the academic curriculum to promote experiential learning and holistic development.

We believe that this partnership will not only benefit our students but also contribute to the overall development of Taraba State and Nigeria. By empowering students to become Grassroots Development Champions, we are fostering a new generation of leaders committed to driving positive change.
