Udenyi Christiana, a proficient fashion designer and Grassroot Development Champion, spearheaded the “Improve Her Productivity” project, emphasizing the need to enhance women’s productivity through fashion design skills. The project aimed to bridge the gender pay gap, promote entrepreneurship, and empower young women in Nigeria, providing them with essential fashion design skills and knowledge to thrive in the fashion industry

  1. Comprehensive Skill Training: Udenyi Christiana provided in-depth training and guidance to participants, covering essential aspects of fashion design, including measuring, cutting, sewing, and finishing techniques, through hands-on practical sessions.
  2. Design Principles and Aesthetics: The project emphasized the significance of design principles and garment aesthetics, encouraging participants to develop a keen eye for industry trends and creative expression.
  3. Hands-On Practical Experience: The project facilitated practical sessions ranging from basic garment construction to more complex design concepts, allowing participants to apply their newly acquired skills in creating two new dresses from scratch.
