The WAAW Foundation Scholarship allows African female college students to complete their education in a STEM-related field. With this scholarship, you are free to focus on your academic goals while also volunteering to give back to your community and encourage the involvement of women in STEM through their university’s STEM Outreach Chapter. The WAAW Scholarship Program assists young African women pursuing undergraduate STEM education.

WAAW Foundation Scholarships Eligibility Criteria

  • Female students of African origin, living and studying in Africa.
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program.
  • Studying STEM-related courses in a University or college in Africa.
  • Presently a first or second year student or a third-year student for a 5-year course in a University.
  • Ability to demonstrate financial need
  • Excellent Academic Record.
  • Proven leadership, volunteering, and community service
  • Below the age of 32 years.

WAAW Foundation Scholarships Accepted Course

  • Only STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) related courses are accepted and will be considered for the scholarship offer.
  • Medical and Nursing students are not eligible to apply for the WAAW Foundation scholarship but pharmacy students are.

WAAW Foundation Scholarships Benefits

  • The WAAW Foundation scholarship is a one-time award of $500.
