Youth Ambassador Program( Fully Funded)

Are you ready to make a significant impact on Internet governance in your community? Do you dream of receiving training and connecting with influential figures in the Internet governance sphere? How about attending a key Internet event, gaining access to a platform to voice your concerns on Internet issues that matter, and influencing policies that defend the Internet? If your answer is yes to any of these, becoming an Internet Society Youth Ambassador is your path forward!

Every year, the Internet Society selects fifteen young, passionate individuals to participate in our Youth Ambassador Program. We aim to equip the next generation of Internet leaders with the skills and knowledge needed to collaborate and innovate for a better world.

Am I Eligible?

All applicants must:

• Be between the ages of 18-30 at the time of application.
• Possess proficient reading, speaking, and writing skills in English.
• Feel comfortable with public speaking and communicating positions.
• Have continuous Internet access and appropriate equipment throughout the program.
• Dedicate a minimum of 4 hours per week during the full program duration.
• Be available for weekly meetings and webinars, typically between 11h and 16h UTC.
• Be prepared for travel with a valid passport.
• Not have been previously selected as an Internet Society IGF Ambassador, IGF Youth Ambassador, Youth@IGF Fellow, or Youth Ambassador

Selection Process

The selection process occurs annually, with applications opening in October. It comprises two phases:

1. Online Application: A selection committee evaluates submissions to choose the Youth Ambassadors. The committee, consisting of Internet Society staff, alumni, and Chapter/Special Interest Group/Standing Group leaders, strives for diversity in terms of profession, geography, and gender in the selections.
