DO Grassroot Forum and Citizen Empowerment Foundation, in collaboration with the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Network Cross River, are pleased to announce a groundbreaking partnership aimed at empowering young leaders to drive sustainable development in their communities.
This Partnership Agreement establishes a framework for cooperation between the parties to leverage the DO model for action and engage 500 YALI Network Cross River members as Grassroots Development Champions (GDCs). The goal is to inspire and enable YALI members to execute impactful community projects that address social issues and contribute to sustainable development in Nigeria.
We are excited to partner with YALI Network Cross River to mobilize young leaders for action and positive change. Through this partnership, we aim to empower YALI members to make a tangible difference in their communities and drive progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
The key components of the partnership include:
- Onboarding YALI Network Cross River members as GDCs and providing them with guidance and resources to execute community projects.
- Implementing a cycle approach for community project execution which allows members to take multiple actions towards addressing issues they care about.
- Providing GDCs with rewards, points, and certificates of action upon successful completion of projects.
- Offering scholarship opportunities and access to career development initiatives for YALI members.
We believe that this partnership will not only benefit our members but also contribute to the overall development of Cross River State and Nigeria as a whole. By working together, we can empower young leaders to become agents of change and drive sustainable development in our communities.
